"When India and China shake hands, the world notices." Hope India's 2014 election

Readers’ Blog in China Daily

Ever since March 2014, there have occured so many eyecatching events which have worldwide influence, such as Missing MH370, unrest in Ukraine  and Crimea Crisis, Korea ferry disaster and so on. These events have been more or less containing some sadness and depression when people waiting the news updates with anxious hearts.

Maybe the general election in India, the world's second most populous country with 1.2 billion people, which has been undergoing for days, kick stated on April 7, scheduled closing on May 16, will bring some good and interesting  news for the wrold at large.

According the Times of India and the Economic Times as well as New Delhi TV sources, Bharatiya Janta Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi the candidate of Congress party will vie for India's new premiership, and in line with NDTV's survey forcasting that Narendra Modi-led BJP opposition alliance will win 275 seats in the 543-seat of Lok Sabha(Lower House), but it is too soon to prejudge whom the final winner will be right now.

India's election system seems too complicated to make common people to understand, but as one of the majoy emerging countries,  one of the major members of Gold BRICS, and China's important neighbor,  no matter it is the Congress party or the BJP winning the big election finally, believe that 2014 India's final parliamental  election results will bring new fresh vigor to the country itself, the region and the world as a whole.

Will  foreign policy of India has new heartening strategic adjustment after the election? Will the Sino-India ties in terms of politics, economic and people to people's cultural exchange have new innovative and substantial development? and Will the construction and development of BCIM Economic Corridor among China, India, Bangladesh and Myanmar gears up after the general election?  All these issues are the concerns by the world observers.

"When India and China shake hands, the world notices." Hope India's 2014 election will not only bring new dynamism to India's national economic development but also inject new vitality for the sound development of  China-India ties in a comprehensive way, which in turn will contribute to the prosperity and stability for both countries and the world in the final analysis.
