Pakistan, Afghanistan agree to work against terrorism
Pakistani and Afghan members of the parliamentary defence committees September 11 agreed on the need to co-operate against terrorism, media reported.
During a conference in Kabul on security issues, both sides discussed causes for the region's insecurity as well as the increasing economic co-operation between the two nations. They also agreed that problems existing between the two should be resolved through talks.
The Pakistani delegation also met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai September 10. Both nations are facing security threats and they "should take effective steps to eliminate the menace" that has inflicted heavy losses to them both, Karzai told the visitors.
